The Oils and Gels

olive oil, castor oil, vitamin E, aloe vera gel

Oils are beneficial, inside and out. They prevent wrinkling, sagging, dryness, and flaking. Oil can speed healing and reduce stress. It removes make-up and is antibacterial and anti-inflammatory. I use cold pressed, virgin, organic oils in all my products containing them.

The Clays and Powders

fuller’s earth, bentonite clay, zinc oxide, activated charcoal

Clays can calm skin, speed healing, detoxify, clarify, and exfoliate. They reduce blemishes and scarring while improving overall complexion. Clays can improve circulation and skin elasticity. Activated charcoal whitens teeth and removes toxins. Zinc oxide is added to all cosmetics as a sunscreen.

The Butters

Butters are luxurious and decadent, but they are beneficial too. Let’s be clear, nothing moisturizes from the outside, you moisturize from the inside, with water. But, butters trap moisture and keeps your skin from drying out. Butter boost immunity and contain anti-aging properties.

The Tints

bronze mica, cinnamon, white mica, cacao powder, amaranth, paprika

To tint, I use mineral micas and spices. Imagine wearing cinnamon on your skin, delish!


The Essential Oils

I’ve used oils as long as I can remember, and love incorporating them into my products. Tea tree is one of my staples for its anti-bacterial properties, eucalyptus goes into my laundry soap, dog shampoo, and insect repellant. The Rest

All the ingredients I use are tried and true, earth-friendly, and if you wanted to, could eat or drink them. Baking soda cleans and whitens. White vinegar softens, brightens, and deodorizes. Castille Soap is non-toxic, lathers easily, discourages bacterial growth and is concentrated.
