Heavy Breathers

Early this morning, around 3:00am, the two goofballs in the photos below decided to sleep in my bed. And that’s when it all began.

First, Margot and Renley, respectively, came into my room and decided to sniff everything  within sniffing range. We’re talking some serious police dog type sniffing that was intense enough to wake me up. I listened to them for about a minute, breathing out of sync with each other so the sniffing sounds like it’s really fast.

So I said “Hey!”

And it goes silent.

For about 20 seconds. Because after that, they decided to get onto the bed itself. So now comes the grunting, which I understand is on par for Boston Terriers. Well these two grunted, groaned, and snorted their way to their bedtime comforts, pawing and burrowing under the covers.

So I said “Hey!”

And it goes silent.

For 5 seconds.

They resume grunting, rolling, snuffling.

So I said  “If you can’t be quiet, you have to leave.”

And the two of them jumped off the bed and did just that, leaving me awake with my jumble of blankets.

Thanks. Turkeys.
